From the 1880's comes this HAND WOVEN Indigo & white wool Psychedelic patterned reversible coverlet. It measures 88" x 64", not counting the 2-1/2" fringe on 3 sides. In original condition, we found one seam split (shown) and some discoloration on the fringe only (shown). Great as a decorator piece, or use on cold Winter nights - better than a Snuggie!!

Antique Indigo Coverlet w Bird Borders

This Summer & Winter 2 color reversible coverlet dates to the late 1800's with double roses, double and single florals, and a double bird border woven with Indigo blue and white wools. Measuring 72" x 70" with (2) 36" wide panels, it has some fringe on both ends, and one side has been turned and hand hemmed to stop fraying (I snipped a couple hem threads and find that it might have had fringe that was worn off). In "as found" condition, it still has the very dark Indigo color, just one storage stain along the seam on the reverse side, but no mothing or odors. A very desirable coverlet with the double bird borders - PRICED TO SELL!

From the late 1800's comes this Indigo & white woven wool reversible Summer & Winter coverlet, with squares of florals on the face and pine tree borders. It measures 80" x 68" with (2) 34" wide panels. In "as found" condition, we see some mothing damage which someone tried to reweave, and one area on the border with a cotton patch (see photos), but no rips, stains or odors. PRICED TO SELL!!

Unusual Antique Psychedelic Indigo Coverlet

From the late 1800's comes this psychedelic overshot coverlet woven with Indigo and white wools in (3) panels. The coverlet measures 99" x 94", and is reversible. PROFESSIONALLY HAND LAUNDERED, we found some mothing damage to the top layer only, but no rips, stains or odors. This would look great under black lights ~ groovy, man!!

1860's SUMMER/WINTER COVERLET ~ VERY TROPICAL!

This Summer/Winter coverlet from the 1860's was made with deep Indigo Blue wool and bright white cotton with sunburst designs, tropical florals, birds & bushes, and a tropical house & palm tree border on 2 sides, with fringe (worn) on 3 sides. It was made using 2 panels each 36" wide, with the entire coverlet measuring 88" x 72". The coverlet got it's name from the way it was typically used - the light side in the Summer and the dark side in the Winter. PROFESSIONALLY HAND LAUNDERED, this coverlet has been lovingly used over the years and has several worn places, where the Indigo wool has worn away and 2 corners that have damage (see full size photos - top 2 corners on the Winter side, bottom 2 on the Summer side). VERY TROPICAL LOOK!!
